Ye olde Pub of Payne (formerly the LL)

Can you beat the draw? Just one measly pick a day...

Welcome, Alexandrova peekers!!!
Thanks for cracking that barrel of SORROW open - that one stung… I would have needed a second barrel of it if Murray hadn’t pulled through!

I didn't see the news that Francesca Schiavone was no longer coaching Petra Martic until after I picked her - I'm going to pretend I would have avoided her had I known

with my (expletive) phone looks like my Garin pick failed to register so I am a dead no pick. Much thanks to the organizers of this what a horrible first week of weather issues. Bang up job as always.

IN FRIGGING COMING!!!!!

42 sensible, really reasonable, totally valid picks are about to open 42 kegs of SORROW because Andrey Rublev simply.... sucks.

Sticking to my theme expressed in another thread- Rublev can go Fucsovics himself. :o

Well, drat. That's what I get for aiming to beat the draw instead of just staying alive. *resigned look at Keys*

On the other hand, Golubic is on my Green Acres team, so I'll take a side of cream with my frozen strawberry daiquiri. :sunglasses:

I don't think Rublev was only a beating the draw pick really. At least that's what I'm telling myself...I was fully aware of where he was in the draw. :)

Should have gone with my first instinct to choose Federer instead of Rublev. I'll take a pint of Sorrow - heavy on the bitters!

Nah, I will keep saying it. Rublev had all the conditions necessary for a great pick. This game just sometimes is like that.
I'll drink my second pint now.
