My path is Kerber --> Sabalenka, or the reverse. So Sabalenka either kings me or kills me.

somehow, I just cant see Pliskova winning a major - if she was capable of it, she would have done it by now..too difficult now..

If she were to win one, Wimbledon would be her best chance given her powerful serve and flat groundstrokes. Her biggest issue is movement. Her opponents know this and they often make her run around and many times, she just gives up and doesn't even go after the ball. I'm surprised that she has not been working on this.

but grass is where movement is the most critical...

Chance for a winner today. If Sabalenka loses, there is one picker each for the Kerber/Barty match.

So Chad can be the winner today. Something tells me s/he is rooting for Pliskova right now. Just a little bit ;)

Feels like this next match is on Sabalenka's racquet. I'm rooting for a Barty v Sabalenka final to see more of their highly entertaining 2021 rivalry.

If Pliskova wins, I'll have the happy consolation of winning the SP. Thought I was a goner when the semis were set and Barty was the only one of the four I hadn't chosen in a prior round. Probably still a goner :D

He/him, the same Chad from our NFL fantasy football league who crushes the regular season but come the playoffs I've had the luck of Felix in a final thus far. Though I fully expect Felix and I both to break through and start rewriting the record books in our favor sooner rather than later.

Hope springs eternal! :bananas:

And I was right! Sabalenka decimates the field today leaving one person standing! I"ll double check, but I think Chad is out of picks for the final, so this marks the end of the pool for this year

i should have picked Barty.. it would have left me empty on finals day but I should have remembered the aim is not to last till the end, it is to last longer than the others! (reminds of the hikers/grizzly bear story).. oh well.
