We were talking about AI in tennis reporting. Look at this article:
Elena Rybakina breaks Serena Williams’ WTA record after Australian Open triumph
Among the multiple errors:
It claims that with the victory, Rybakina is now 7-3 vs Sabalenka. The WTA site says is 8-6, Aryna.
And it claims that she has a 60% winning record vs #1 players. A little bit below, it says she is 9-6 vs #1, which means it is really 66%.

Kind of sloppy.

a good example of meaningless journalism. It is not as if Martina is still playing.
but on a different note, I do wonder why there arent any good lefties any more. At one time, between 1974 and 83, the USO men's title was won exclusiviely by lefties..

Covering tennis is very difficult. The tours keep a tight rein on information and the player's teams create a protective bubble around them. I think that's why you see more non news posts like this than in many other sports.

Just normal, statistical fluctuations. Just as you say that we had that span of winning lefties, now we have a drought. A new formidable lefty will rise, sooner or later.
