ALexandrova is also much better on faster courts, which we will see in Dubai.

If you dont think court speed matters, please ignore this post, it is not something to be argued about.

Yes of course..all I am saying is don't get irritated because I keep harping on court speed,
Which nobody believes is relevant except me!

I dropped Alexandrova from my fantasy team and kept Ostapenko, for precisely this reason.

You see, you do this. Now you claim that nobody believes it is relevant. And of course it is. But I believe that, for example, the changes in balls are more important.
Nobody here says court speed is not important. I say that, as that graph posted last year showed, the speed of the courts is much more even than ever. Otherwise, you would not see 12 strokes rallies at Wimbledon.
And you disregard data that are important to your theory. Coco lost in the first match, and you cannot say that she does not generate her own power or that, the current holder of RG, does not know how to play on a slow court. She was playing on a hard court (tough to say she does not like that) that was slow (again, RG champ). She simply had a bad day.
So, in that match, it was not court speed.

Seems Mboko is for real..second win over Rybakina! She is Gauff 2.0..speed and athleticism as good as Coco, forehand much better.. she will do great things.I don't see any real weaknesses either..which is astonishing in one so young.

She has had some injuries and that is the only troubling thing so far. She has a fiery personality and you can see that she absolutely hates losing.

After Sakkari won her first-round match to set up a meeting with Paolini, I did a double take when she said it was bad luck for Paolini to have to face such a top-level player early because her ranking had dropped so much. Then she went out and clobbered Paolini and ended Swiatek's career perfect record after winning the first set in a 1000 event, playing fantastic tennis. Guess she could feel her game coming back after years in the wilderness.

It will take more than one good week before I will believe she is back. I hope she is but she has become a regular early rounds loser at Slams.
And, wasn't you that said that Swiatek's Wimby was the outlier of her recent results? (Not putting you one, just verifying the source). Swiatek is no longer the monster to be feared.
Actually, nobody is.

About Mboko. It is not that she is beating top players. It is how. The score against Alona is lopsided. And, against Elena, less than two weeks ago Elena did the same thing; coming back from one break down in the third. Mboko did it this time.
My recent theory: experience my butt. It counts for so little. The good ones start winning young, and don't stop. Let's see if she does that.
