Re: March Madness 2021
Ok, that schedule looks better. Basically just the first two rounds are one day later than usual, and rounds 3 and four two days. Should've assumed it was covid related

Re: March Madness 2021
Since we're not doing a TAT Challenge this year I will be nice and share info you may not know to those of you that are doing brackets with friends and family. Also, pay attention to the news heading into Noon tomorrow. You may want to make changes to your picks depending on any updates.
- So far there have been 8 positive tests. No teams have been given with this announcement
- GA Tech's best player is out due to covid protocols, he'll definitely miss the first round game, and might miss the second round game if they advance
- Oklahoma Sooners are down their second leading scorer
- UVA is on track to arrive to Indy tomorrow and play on Saturday pending a series of negative tests, but technically who may be able to take the floor is up in the air
- Kansas is down 3 players, but at least one, but possibly two, are likely able to go for the first game, but it is still unknown since they were required to stay in Kansas most of this week, while the rest of the team traveled to Indy

Re: March Madness 2021
You can have a challenge here. I would like to get into it but in reality, I do not follow College ball. My university is nowhere near a sports college so my A.M. is never anywhere.

Re: March Madness 2021
Oh I know we can. I just figured we'd skip it this year since some have previously expressed problems with doing that stuff with everything going on. We'll try it next year.
You wouldn't believe how many bracket winners don't know a thing about college basketball. It's more common than not in my experience.

Re: March Madness 2021
In our home bracket I've only won twice in five years ( although I'm not that knowledgeable myself some years.) Two of the years the kid who won our home pool would have also won our 30-40 entry money pools had I entered them in that.
For the record in our house we have 2 who picked Ohio State, 2 who picked Michigan, 1 who picked Illinois (me), and 1 who picked Gonzaga.

The more I know about college basketball, the worse I do in picking winners in the tournament bracket.
This year, I have picked Baylor over Bama in the final

Re: March Madness 2021
I have Bama losing in my final too.
I had one incredibly amazing year ... I had the entire sweet sixteen correct and every game from then on correct. I was in about the 99.95% in the world.
And we skipped our money pool that year.
I remember it was a year I did little research. Michigan State made the final and I remember my research on them was "they rebound well...good enough for me to put them in the final!"

Re: March Madness 2021
That was fun. Funny how I may not have watched any basketball game (on TV) in almost two years... and now I haven't turned basketball off all day.
Brutal for the in house brackets, 2 lost winners, 1 lost finalist, and another kid had them in final four losing to Tennesee...who are down at halftime too.

Favourite thing of the night ... hearing announcers saying “THE Oral Roberts University.”

Re: March Madness 2021
Add North Texas to the upset list, dumping Purdue 78-69 in OT. It's been a rough couple of days for the Big 10, as Michigan St. Ohio St. and Purdue have gone out.

Re: March Madness 2021
They still have three big teams left so easily could wind up true in the tournament.

They're still the best. Giannis not playing well in the playoffs doesn't mean he wasn't the MVP last season.
