Rome curse hit Jarry as a ricochet. Just imagine what a direct hit will do to Zverev )

I was watching short highlights. It seemed that he was moving quite carefully in the beginning.

That was pretty routine (I am only able to see the score). But also a good indication. It is time for au revoir.

Rafa was competitive. He had a lot of chances. But Zverev played like the No. 4 seed. He was very good. Rafa's FH isn't what it once was.

I definitely considered SST for the SP but it would have been an unneeded risk.

In a hindsight, if Zverev wins a tournament, Rafa's result will look better and better )

Yeah, for sure. And the draw unluckier and unluckier. FWIW, Zverev is my pick to win it. But if Djokovic makes the semi playing well, it will be a toss-up. Right now Zverev is playing the best tennis of his career. Serving incredibly well.

Rafa has nothing to be ashamed of. He competed well. His weapons just aren't there anymore.

They gave Rafa the Shot of the Day but as any long time Rafa watcher can see the explosiveness in his first step isn't there any more. I said it was time last year. I hope he listens to his family and friends.
