Hope that makes someone happy
It makes a lot of people unhappy:
Krygios, Warinka slam Sinner's 3-month ban: Tennis is not a clean sport anymore

Conventional wisdom was that he was going to get a year, so he's probably happier than he was planning to be

I'm buying Sinner's excuse and moving on. I don't think he's a better tennis player because of a trace of a banned substance. The whole thing was handled in all the wrong ways, but it's over now.

The point was not whether he had traces of the substance. It was that this was handled in a totally different way than the cases listed by the person above (Jarry, Halep, etc.)
Next time somebody tests positive, then how do you handle it? Jannik had X picograms of substance Y. next player has 100 X picograms of substance Z. Do you show the same leniency? Especially if s/he is ranked below a certain "star" level?
This will come back and bite the ATP/WTA in some big way. Some time not too distant.

Yes, agreed. I'm just saying I don't think his performance was enhanced. The problem quickly wasn't about Sinner, it's the ATP, IATA, WADA, and CAS. They've set a standard they can not abide with any integrity. Yes, it's gonna came back and bite hard.

I'm considering it's a win for tennis. Not that I think that doping shall be permitted, but IMO for a while already the medicine got more harmful than a disease. The authority of these regulators, who are largely nameless is too big and there is absolutely NO ACCOUNTABILITY on their part. Regarding the inconsistency in handling the cases - the circumstances of these cases are not identical. But, yes, I wish Halep and others were given less bans, and their cases were solved quicker.

I say the number of players that are displeased is an indicator of how fair this is.
From the top of my head: Daniil, Stan, Kyrgios, Tommy Paul (he posted that joke photo right after the initial stages of this). Who am I missing?
