A first doubles title for Alexei and a 2nd ATP 500 doubles title for Yuki. The #2 seeds fall short in an entertaining match, saving 3 championship points, but the deficit in the final set tiebreak was too much to overcome.

Two players this year switching racquets and being successful immediately with the new frame. Madi from Wilson to Yonex (they are not so different in style of play) and Stefanos from Wilson to maybe also Wilson.
Wonder what his racquet really is.

Babolat. The same model Alcaraz plays.

Wow. From Wilson to Babolat. Those frames play very different.

The explanation was that Wilson gives more control but less power. All the previous years ST wasn't considering himself as lacking power. But with recent decline in the balls quality he decided that he has to sacrifice a bit of precision to be able to play with more power from the frame - to adjust for "dead" balls.

I agree. Wilsons, and Yonexes and Heads, are precision racquets. Sure, they generate power, but nowhere near the Babolats. The Pure Drive line is simply a sledgehammer in disguise. The Aero's are equally powerful but lighter.
Well, it worked for him. Let's see where this change takes him.

Was surprised that this was the first title for Machac. The guy has some serious talent.
