Fact check: this season alone, he has played Marrakech, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Madrid, the Aix-en-Provence challenger and Rome. He won only thre matches, but he definitely was not avoiding clay.

I saw the first set. Parks kept yanking Muchova out of position and hit some nice shots behind her. Muchova didn't appear hindered in any way during the set and won the second set 6-2. The surprise was Parks winning the third set 6-1.

I probably came into it at the wrong moment then, early in the 4th. I'm not going to disagree with your assessment but with the crowd getting involved it just becomes a different kind of theatre for me. I was amused
