Then Stefanos needs to do some math. A code violation gives you a warning, playing with that racquet cost him the point.
Well, your point explains it.
And yes, Aga did that once. Her racquet did crack (no initial smacking, as you tell us, though).
I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing. Maybe he thought he'd have another outburst and he wanted to have the opportunity to do that without losing a point?

It's a strong tradition in Central and Eastern Europe so no reason to criticize. At work too virtually all women who got married while I'm here changed their names. I respect them just as much (or little) as before.

In L. America, for example, it would be very normal for Elina to become Elina Svitolina DE Monfils.
I am not sure if in Spain it would be mandated. In some L. America countries it would be. In others (I believe Argentina) I think Gael could choose to use her name.
I assumed that after marriage, they would both legally change their names to that silly name that they came up with for their union on 'social media', whatever it was...

Of course she can do what she wants, but she spent years building her own name and this is one of those times where keeping your maiden name or adding your husband's name in addition to your own makes a ton of sense. It's not that it's on her Instagram, it's that it seems that's what she'll be using professionally.
It's her choice and I don't think any of us can comment on what in the end is a personal decision on her part. I think I mentioned here that my daughter has opted to keep her maiden name because of the work she does and her husbands family nearly fainted from shock.
I kept my husband's name even though we divorced. Everyone is entitled to their choice.

Given that Svitolina has failed to reach the potential that many predicted, which has left many fans frustrated, perhaps disassociating herself from that name will actually boost her reputation among some fans.
Maybe even within herself, as well.
Kind of like a 're-birth' - 'the old Elina is gone, here comes the new'...
Of course, in reality, it will take more than a mere name change to boost her career, but who knows?... maybe it will psychologically prompt an improvement.
