NFL Fantasy football 2022/23

Dear fellow FF players.
The NFL season is starting soon, and it is time to say whether we will continue our league. I very much would like to. We will continue with the NFL official site, unless we agree to change to another (and I would not have any preferences).
So.
Last year's teams: please say YES here.
New teams: you know we need pairs of teams to expand. If somebody wants to join, we would need two, or if somebody wants to drop, we will go that way. But we need a bit of time to get everything arranged.

So, please post here, and I will send the reminder to the league, via NFL.

Thanks,
The Commish.

I am not going to say I am an expert on Football, but I have played Fantasy Football two times before. I do watch the Baltimore Ravens and Fantasy Football is fun so this does sound like a lot of fun. I am up for this. So the way it works is I would have to have another person join to get in? I have only played on ESPN before.

We would either need to get two people (you and somebody else) or if somebody bails out you can take their place.
Let's see who shows up. But if you want to join, sure, sounds great. I like it when we have 10 teams.

Sounds awesome and fun. Some more fun like the dreaded Suicide Game.

Fantasy is a different beast. It will mean that, on Sundays, you find yourself sweating 10 games, as opposed to one.
And Tog will start the NFL Challenge, which is done here internally. Another perfect way to suffer games.

I will gently stick my toe in the water, unless we don't get another new player and then cuckoo can take my spot.

Bumping for our other teams that have not confirmed/declined.
Today is the first game of the pre-season. We have about 4 weeks before real games start.

I'm in. Can't wait to see which significant player on my team suffers a major injury in the first two weeks of the season.

Ok. That makes 6 out of the current 8 teams back.
The first game of the season will be on Sep 8th. We still have some time to accept new teams, especially if during the USO some people see the banner. I don't think C4C will be back (she has been gone now for a couple of weeks), so that is taken care of.
One thing: last year, the 30 Sec window for picks during the draft felt a bit too little. We talked about it. So, should we increase it to 1 minute? It will make for a longer draft, but better management.
And, if there are constraints to when can we hold the draft, let me know. I was thinking Sunday 4th. We will be most likely watching USO tennis.

I'm fine with moving to a minute for draft picks. Also okay with going to 45 seconds if that is an option if you're looking for more time but are worried a full minute will drag. In my experience, a 60-second timer works well to keep things moving quickly. It's the 90 second and 2 minute timers that make things drag on unnecessarily, too much time for people to consider 20 different possibilities (and probably still choose one of the first 3 they were considering anyway).

Alright. The league accepts setting the draft time at 45 seconds. Let's hear from some of the others.

I agree 60 seconds is cool, in my other 3 drafts 2 use a 60 second clock and the other uses a 90 second clock. Sunday the 4th actually works well for me. My final draft is on Labor Day night.

I'd rather have 60 seconds, but if the majority wants 45 seconds, I'm good with that as well.
