This makes two straight titles for Medvedev since the Australian Open. He is now off to Dubai where he will be up against some stiff competition in Novak, Rublev, FAA, Hurkacz.

It is a shame because this tournament will be a nice true test for him with a lot of challenges in his opponents.

He is scheduled for a severe beating by Novak in the SF. More reason to not even bother.

That would be the huge test for him if he were to play in the next tournament. I doubt he would beat Novak, but sooner or later he is going to be across the net from him and we are all going to have to see if he can get the job done.
