That should be right up your alley. At her peak (83-86), Martina lost 7 matches in those four years, had two streaks of 66 and 76 winning matches, and won the end of year championships four years in a row, without losing a set.
If your statement that players' greatness must be judged at their peak, there is little doubt that Martina is it.

Andreeva at career high #11 in live rankings and will be #9 if she wins today. Tauson also at career high #23 and will rise to #17 with a title.

I don't disagree! Especially when you consider doubles
I would say the greatest are Serena, Seles and Martina- in no particular order.

82 in singles. Let's keep the perspective.
And in doubles, she is what Shriver was to Navs.

You don't do her justice..Siniakova is not the better doubles player..both contribute equally
And doubles counts too..

Siniakova is absolutely the better player—one of the best of all time IMO.

That said, I have always been a fan of Taylor and am happy to see this late-career renaissance for her

i dont agree..Siniakova's serve is pathetic (very critical in doubles) and she has been making several errors at the net lately. To me, TT is equally strong..I have said several months ago that Taylor is the best doubles player in the world.

Siniakova has won many slams with DIFFERENT doubles partners. There absolutely no doubt in my mind that she is the best doubles player in WTA right now.

Beat me to it. She has won with quite a few other players.
It was, again, like Navs. Navs won slams with multiple players. Shriver won only 1 slam with a partner other than Navs, and that Zvereva, who herself was a very fine doubles player.

I saw her play Pegula (I think) in Australia, who beat her pretty easily.
