Maybe I am mistaken but wasn't she just working with the Tennis Association coach,? Sort of temporarily, when she won the USO?
He worked for the LTA at the time and had a nine-week trial contract with Raducanu. I’m not sure if it was through the LTA, but likely. He wanted to continue as her coach and was fired on a brief phone call with her team.

I liked her a lot but the bloom is off the rose a bit. Her arrogant comment about coaches not being able to keep up with her rubbed me the wrong way. And without much other exposure, because she has hardly played, it’s hard to offset such negative things.

Sad, she could have been a popular star for the WTA.

She still carries the UK for the WTA. That is the reason she is valuable; that is a profitable market.
I was not aware of the entire story about the coach. Txs.

Exactly. She is just image. She is the last brit to win a slam. And that is enough.

Boulter and Pliskova have played three times on grass.

All three times Boulter has lost the first set before coming back to win in three.

I saw the last set and it was pretty good, although the match ended with five breaks of serve. Definitely nervy. Boulter broke for 4-2, then lost serve at love. Then Emma, serving at 3-4 deuce, had a brain fart and tried a backhand drop shot instead of driving it, her best shot. It was a terrible shot - a high sitter at the service line. Boulter broke. Then she lost serve again and Emma lost serve again and it was over. The bail-outbackhand at 3-4 was just lack of match play, I think. Toughness in tight moments down the stretch.

Tough loss but encouraging result overall. Nice to see Boulter playing well.

I'm surprised Boulter is 27! Thought she was a lot younger.

I have also 1976 hits in my database, but Sutton and Felixstowe no longer appear as part of ATP main tour...
