Krejcikova takes a big swing, too long to hit her shots

Both similar in a way, silky smooth, except for serve...

Krejcikova hanging around in the first set so far - Rybakina had a sitter forehand to win the set but some how hit it in the middle of the net.

Krejicova in 3.
Rybakina is hitting way more winners, and way more errors. Don't know if that is sustainable.

Rybakina's first serve percentage nowhere near what it should be...
Rybakina will win in a canter though

Rybakina flipped the W/UE ratio. And that is all Krecjikova needs.

I am pleased, I always liked Krejcikova..smooth as silk, quite like Rybakina. It is good to see this kind of game work.

Uhm, I don't agree. Rybakina hitting too many errors. It was a match lost, not a match won.
I think.

Two stats told the story of that match:
Krejcikova is undefeated in tournament semfinals since the start of 2021 and Rybakina has now played 10 grass tournaments since the start of 2021 and reached the final of only one.
I brought up that second stat for a reason this week. Rybakina has the game for grass but finds a way to lose.

Rybakina struggles to find a way to win when the A game isn't going well, and her peak level didn't line up with the end of the tournament.
Krejcikova vs Paolini - another Grand Slam final out of left field in the WTA - both players deserve to be there but no one would have picked them 2 weeks ago based on form, and history.
