by mick1303 I think this match has the most even bookies odds since AO-12 (Djokovic-Nadal). Back then the odds evened up because Djokovic had much more brutal semis against Murray.

by ashkor87 I believe more in h2h results than rankings and what not.. Sabalenka has won 3 of the last 4 matches between them. My belief that Sabalenka is best on clay, ie on slow courts, also reinforces the feeling that Sabalenka will win today.

by patrick Prediction : After today title, Sabalenka will be a Wimbledon away from a career Grand Slam

by Owendonovan I think Sabalenka needs to be off (likely in her head) and Coco's serve can't break down for Coco to win. Both with their game on, it's Sabalenka for the win.

I expect she will win W too this year.

by ashkor87 Good thing I like them both, else my nerves would be frazzled!

by Owendonovan How 'bout that.

by patrick Yes, Gauff found a way to stop Sabalenka from attempting a Career Slam this year

by patrick If you think Gauff is making a ton of endorsements now, it is about to be out of control at age 21

by ashkor87 Saba's go-for-broke style works better with a closed roof..the conditions were windy today..then it is not the court but the wind/air..on the whole a dramatic but not high quality match

by ponchi101 You cannot win a clay court match hitting that number of UE's. 70 UE's is simply a declaration of recklessness.

by ponchi101 And let's stop these interviews on court after such a grueling match, especially for the loser. It is borderline sadistic.

by JTContinental Rennae Stubbs has already called Sabalenka out for her dour runner up speech.

The speech was not the height of class, but I could understand it. The word “grace” is used a lot these days but not put into practice.

Check and check. Gauff deserved it. Kept her head.

by ponchi101 I want to see how many of us are supremely graceful after one of our, let's say, projects, do not come through.
Let's go back to Wimbledon in the old days. The trophies are handed out, the two players take a couple of pictures, then they can go to their lockers and calm down for a while. Press conference for the loser about three hours later.

Rennae likes to stir the pot.

and it brings out their worst side..

by Owendonovan I found Coco's return of serve better than usual and little more pop on her forehand than usual. I found Sabablenka's game exactly as it always is, a chance of going off the rails, which it did this time. It's happened before and will again. She could use some time with Emily Post to learn how to be more dignified.

That would be nice, or just hand them the mic and let them say what they whatever they would like to say and not have to endure these inane "what was going through your mind when..." questions. At least they don't pester them on the way out to the court, like at the U.S. Open.
