Explain to me what do you mean by demons in her mind. She has reached the finals of the big three tournaments of the first quarter of the year. She won two slams last year. She has not been "crushed" in any match, and her issues with her serve were taken care of a while back.
She has been playing solid tennis and is the clear #1. If there is anybody with demons, and they are tiny, is Iga, who has not won anything since RG. But now goes back to her beloved clay.
Yes, I say this year she should be the slight favorite at W.
