Aryna is defending USO points. I say that by the end of the year, Iga is back at #1. I will bet three dog chewed balls on that.

She has almost double the points of Swiatek, and she'll defend a good portion of what she has left, so I think it will be a tall order. Gauff has a better chance after her less than stellar summer last year, but she won't do it either, IMO.

Gauff doesn't have a better chance, I think. She's now well behind Swiatek in the race.

Tereza Valentova (18) will debut in the top 100 next week.

I've been watching her matches as my late night/early morning tennis (don't ask) and I've noticed she has "that thing". It'll be interesting to see how she fares against higher ranked players.

I had to really look for it but here's a short clip of Valentova. She played a LL today but you can get an idea of how she plays.
