GSM Mirra Andeeva 7-6(1), 1-6, 6-3 in 2h 17m.
Swiatek was pissed off almost the entire match as Andreeva kept her off balance. Interesting rivalry could be shaping up here.

Great win for Saba - she seems to have found her desert rhythm finally. The finals should be very interesting.. Andreeva is a much better player already than in January (!!) so hard to tell if that result would be replicated here.. on a slower court, Saba shuld win even more decisively, but who knows, it really depends on how good Andreeva is - nobody has yet tested her limits!

I have never liked her. Her whining, her strokes (her strokes!), the constant complaints.
But I admit she is a great player, on clay.
However, she is making it very easy for those like me to get some ammo against her.
I forget who is it around here that has defined her as a bully. Spot on
BTW. Did she get a warning or anything for that? She hit it to the ground, but in the direction of the ball-kid.

And I think after that, Aryna should be favored by a lot. But I am rooting for Andreeva.

I am always happy to see young players well but also sad for the older players ..I mean, SwiateK's throne has been severely rocked..

It was very cold, and windy in Indian Wells - people in the stands were wearing winter coats - and Keys did not deal well with the conditions.

Women's Doubles Final: Muhammad and Schuurs Win First Team Title
March 15, 2025

By Chris Oddo
In their second WTA 1000 doubles event as a team, American Asia Muhammad and Dutchwoman Demi Schuurs defeated Tereza Mihalikova and Olivia Nicholls, 6-2, 7-6(4) for their first team title on Saturday at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
Muhammad, a 2022 runner-up in the California desert with Ena Shibahara, claims her 12th career WTA doubles title; Schuurs gets her 20th, and sixth at the 1000 level.
“We started this week, and I told [Asia] I never play well here,” said Schuurs after raising the trophy. “She told me: ‘I always play well here.’ So I was like, what are we gonna choose? We chose to play well and we won the title.”
“We’ve really trusted the process this year, and it paid off earlier than expected,” said a smiling Muhammad, who lives and trains in Las Vegas.

Draper after beating Alcaraz at Indian Wells
“On Monday you’ll be #8 in the world. You haven’t wanted to admit you’ve been playing top 10 tennis… will you finally admit you’re playing top 10 level?”
Jack: “I’m not thinking too much about the top 10 right now. I’ve got some more to get through.“
