The injury helped Djokovic play a lot more aggressively like he did early in his career. I remember Federer beating him in Canada or Cincinnati before Djokovic had won a slam, and after Djokovic ran off a series of games from way down to force a third set, Federer talked in his post-match TV interview (as the winner) about how all Djokovic ever did was go for broke and try crazy shots and hope they went in and he just had to weather the storm and wait for him to cool down.
By the time Djokovic evolved into a champion, playing controlled tennis and using his wheels to win, everyone forgot how aggressive he was at the start of his career. His evolution was similar to Agassi's, and although it won him a ton, it cost him two slam matches against Wawrinka when he refused to go for his shots and eventually got hit off the court.

Sometimes it happens. Not often, but sometimes it does. When everyone you want to win - wins ) Today I pretty much satisfied with all four singles results - on ATP and WTA ))

In what way does Sinner have "a tough of Federer"? His net game is basically absent, his foot work on court is nowhere near Roger's, the styles are diametrically different.
It is the same thing as last year when somebody said that Sinner was an improved Djokovic and Bartoli laughed the idea off.
We can safely say that Zverev will NOT beat Novak; we have seen that movie many times. And if Novak is really back from his health issues, and beating Alcaraz in 4 says so, #25 is in the bag.

I don't see where are you coming from with this "safely". Yes, Novak pulled a miracle today, but nobody beats Father Time consistently. Eventually it comes to collect. Zverev is in his prime and does not have any injury concerns. I feel that this may be his time, especially given that Sinner is also far from 100%.

Safely, because of an 8-4 record in Novak's favor, and the fact that Zverev fades away in matches. Even though Novak is 10 years his senior, I say he is i much better shape than Alexander.
Mind you, I will eat my words with relish if I am wrong. With relish, mustard, on toast and with a glass of wine. But I don't see anybody other than a 100% in form Sinner beating Novak now.

So, you're suggesting that not running for the balls in set 2 and playing low percentage shots was just a show and Novak was not injured? You will only believe he is injured when there is an open wound and the blood is dripping?

I've seen too many matches where he appears about to drop dead on the court and after a MTO he's suddenly sprinting like a gazelle around the court as if nothing happened. I'm sorry but unless I see physical evidence of a real injury he's still Fakervic to me.

I guess that is because you are emotionally invested in him losing. This makes you see things that are not really there. He sure did not "sprint like a gazelle" in the 2nd set. And towards the end of the 4th started to slow down again once the painkillers began to wear off.

This kind of argument can always be flipped.
You are a fan of him, Ti isn't. The perspectives therefore can be opposite.
