Arthur Rinderknech after beating Alexander Zverev in Shanghai Masters: "It's tough for everyone. 50% of the matches are not finishing, and 50% of the matches are finishing with the guys cramping or vomiting. We're using an incredible amount of shirts, and thankfully, the laundry is working well."

that is not the reason.. the reason is they were not all tournaments the way we understand it today.

Ah, ok. So let's take tournaments away from Connors because he was not able to play in the system that is used today.
Totally his fault.

Time to stop having players playing on a cement slab at noon. It is way too hot.
Start play at 4. And play a bit more into the night.

Even F1 is running races at night.

now I am down to predicting that people who are from hot, humid places like Australia, Florida, will do well! The eastern europeans wont - it is not about tennis any more!

Americans have many more options to make money as an athlete. The minimum salary for an NBA player is above $1MM. That is for a player that has not experience in the NBA.
Young athletes in the USA have no reason to go for tennis, financially.
