My first thought was that ponchi has forgotten to add Switzerland on some "allowed" country list. Obviously not the case.

No jinx but as y'all can see I was busy on the site. I wanted to get as much up as I could.

We spent almost all day in MEDIUM security level and the guest count was around 280-300. Which is manageable.
Still keeping an eye on this.

Ok. Medium security level seems to be alright for our needs. We are usually hovering around 300 guests, which are benign bots.
However, there is one more thing. I have blocked traffic from China, N Korea and Cuba. I need to know if there are any users here that are using Russian servers, because they are the last ones I want to block. If you use one of those, let us know, so I will not block the entire country. But, if you don't, I will block Russian traffic in a few days.

I don't play the contests but I do know some of y'all are JinxMasters of the Universe.

I was finally able to get back in tonight. I was getting the too many failed login attempts message someone mentioned earlier. (And that would have been absolutely true. I tried a few dozen times at least and did a zillion captchas--correctly). I even got that again this time, but then it decided my captcha was well enough done to let me in.

I missed y'all. And a zillion thanks to ponchi for fighting the good fight. Your predecessor called it whackamole-ing.

Seems ok today, though. Currently only 2 users online, as opposed to the 13,000+ I saw at one point yesterday

Because I had to switch back to I'M UNDER ATTACK mode.
But that also keeps some members at bay.
This is a targeted attack. It is aimed at us.
Will drop it down to HIGH mode, and see how that goes. But the ahole that is targeting us is consistent. And he knows much more than I do about this.
