Apparently winning the first set 6-3 is a bad omen for the rest of the match - Alcaraz wins 3-6, 6-1, 6-0.

DeMinaur has been the real revelation of the tournament.. when someone does well on a surface he is not good on, it means he is really playing well.. I look for him to challenge seriously for the title at Wimbledon. Musetti is supposed to do well on clay, so nothing new there.

watched a bit of the video - Alcaraz is too defensive in his return position.. it is not as if it is Sampras serving... he needs to step in a bit more

That his game shouldn't work on clay. He could have played for Spain after all.

Demiñaur has made it to the QF's of the US, French and Wimby. It is not as if he is a bad player on any surface.
He lacks weapons, I think. But the speed is awesome and he competes well. So, he can do well anywhere.
I say he can make a semi at a slam one day. But not more.

Speed and defense are less valuable on clay . You need some weapons to actually win the point..
