Which is why Laver Cup makes little sense..maybe Eastern vs Western Europe would be more competitive...or if women were included

Competiveness was not one of the goals when Laver Cup was started.

The week or two after a major is the 'funny season' when all players are relaxed and not taking matches too seriously ..we should not take results and form too seriously yet- and now the Olympics adds to the long break from serious tennis ..
