Thanks, with this number of different people being picked, it is very easy for one to get missed.
by dave g We lost about a quarter of our people on Day 1, which is about average.
by ponchi101 Wow, but I say it was not usual in the sense that there were no bandwagons crashing. It was a bunch of loses, all over.

When I was adding dead people, I forgot the Cressy pickers. I also found another Griekspoor picker. These additional dead made up most of the No Picks for Day 2, so the totals for Day 2 are largely unchanged.
by dave g I am going to wait until the end of the Kubler/Ymer match so that I know who all made it through Day 2, before I start working on the Day 3 pick summary.

LOL, GREAT pick for today. JJ was just playing such crap down a set and a break. But- also as a fan- very glad that he found his game. (And I'd be more than fine if he goes further in the draw.)

Sorry for this stray post, but because you mentioned that, I won't have any other choice but to share this. Not many people know Andrey Rublev, named "Andrew Rublev" here, can actually sing and even features in a music video:

See, what these very wise boys have learned- if you sing underground into tin cans- they won't take your girl away.
PS: Somehow, in this group of mugs, Rublev found a way to look the most awkward.
Only 5 dead. This has been another good day for the group.

I avoided ADF because I saw some of Galan's match vs Tsitsipas and he was very impressive. I think he could keep it going if he's not exhausted from qualifying. Galan is up a break in the fourth.

SO glad you are having a great time. I've been to the US Open many times- a few times in the '70's, and then, starting in 1999, I only missed one Open pre-covid (not going this year, because I am still covid-crazy enough that I won't get on a plane for now, except of course in case of an emergency). I've always had amazing and fun times there.
HOWEVER, please never again forget your Bandwagon Duties. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING else matters but winning this pretty little imaginary trophy contest.

Actually, there was a match yesterday (Draper vs Khachanov) which had pickers on both sides, also. But so far, it has been relatively rare to have pickers on both sides of a match.

by pudding Organizers, I just checked your list and saw that I was red-ed yesterday - but to be clear, I picked Norrie on Day 6, not Schwartzman, (I checked just now to make sure) I never picked Schwartzman at all.

Here is what I actually picked - Korda Kecmanovic Wolf Evans Kyrgios Norrie
I didn't even change any of my picks, only one for each day. (I just checked to confirm.)

I had left the "end color" indicator off of the player above you, so their redding out bled down to you. You are not supposed to be redded out. I I have fixed that.

by Suliso Sometimes at this stage SP is almost over. This time not even close in both draws.
by ponchi101 I am impressed. As you say, many SP's are over by day 7. We have so many players still alive that I say we have a good chance of people beating the draw in both sides.
by Suliso There have been very few huge upsets of middle ranked players. Maybe today Ruud takes out 24 Berrettini's albeit this late nothing is really a big surprise.

True, I have been playing for what? maybe 15 years? And I'm always out by around Day 4. The last time I made it this far was when I (with several others) won the pool during one of the times Serena won Wimby.
by ponchi101 Well, it seems we will have a bloodbath today, because Ruud is simply crushing Berrettini. But sure, this is no upset; actually, Ruud is ranked higher so...

Whoah I was thinking I was down on ruud's chances in that (possible) match. That kyrgios fully engaged would probably hit him off the court. But two percent? Way too low. For what it's worth he just beat someone with a similar style of play (I know berrettini didnt play great) in straight sets. And also every match kyrgios plays, there is about a ten percent chance he just doesnt really feel like competing or even playing that day. Even more so exacerbated by someone keeping a match close. I dont think that is an old narrative based on one awesome and mostly focused wimbledon run. I do think khachanov should be a good matchup for him.
by ponchi101 I give him almost no chances. Kyrgios has been engaged lately. We saw it at Wimbledon, and he toyed with Medvedev.
Khachanov has to serve at 90% and crush every FH, hoping they will land inside.
I hope I am wrong and you are right, but I can't see Ruud handling Kyrgios serve.

They had all taken Nick????? I was forced to take him because he couldnt do either of the things he was supposed to do 1. Lose to medvedev 2. Beat khachanov. If he had done either, and alcaraz beats ruud in the final, I would have walked backwards through the draw. Stupid Kyrgios. Im not surprised in the least he lost that match, because I needed him to, and he is the definition of unreliable. Also a little overrated his groundstrokes are far from perfect.
