Iga did the same thing yesterday and some were calling it gamesmanship.

The women's doubles final was high quality and intriguing and enjoyable to watch for 2 sets - but the Siniakova and Krejcikova were simply too well established as a team to go down in this one. McNally and Townsend played well for a set and a half, then faltered when they saw that the Czechs had figured things out. McNally in particular faded a lot.

It was quite unfortunate that neither Townsend nor McNally in the post match on-court interview congratulated or gave any credit at all to the team which had just beaten them. They only talked about themselves. This self-centeredness is the kind of thing which prompted the term 'ugly American'.
The Czech women, seeing that their opponents gave them no credit, returned the favour to a degree - though they did mention that it was a high quality match from both teams.

First set that Ruud has ever taken from Alcaraz. Sure, only two matches, but you have to start somewhere.

Whether he wins or loses this match, I think Ruud has proven wrong the people who had dismissed him as being a non-threat to win.
He's a quality top 10 player, and should be respected as such just as much as the other top 10 players.

They keep mentioning Carlos' brother in his player's box, but pretty sure that's his dad sitting right behind the brother.

Asking a 19 year-old, and 23 year-old their thoughts about an event that took place 21 years ago is bit awkward.

^ They both voluntarily brought up the subject of 9/11 - it was done on their own initiative.
