This event was a silly response to the domination of the big three. When players like Pete, Becker, Edberg and all others that won while young were already Slam champions, there was no NEXT GEN. The NEXT GEN were ready to say NOW.

Just went to get tomorrow's OoP and see Michelson lost to, just a minute, Abdullah Shelbayh 42 14 40 40. I know a lot of us think he's someone to keep an eye on. Michelson that is.

It's the venue for me. If it was being held anywhere else I would've watched some of it, wonky format and all.
