by ponchi101 Hello!
I was able to finish the scoring for the contest. We did not have any perfect score, but we have two players that managed to get 7 picks right. They are at the top of our table, obviously.
The rest of the picks are at the link.
PLEASE. BECAUSE THIS IS THE FIRST ROUND, I MAY HAVE TYPED IN A WRONG PICK HERE AND THERE. Please, take a look at your tab and make sure I put in the right players. From then on, everything is automated. And the data tab is just for me to run this stuff, so don't mind it.

by ptmcmahon Glad to see someone else will be cursing Mensik with me. Thought that was a great pick :)

by ponchi101 So did I. I know Shapo is not the player he used to be, but 1R at the Aussie? Give me a break!

by janebowles Hello!

My fourth pick for the WTA (Zarazua) lost, so I should get a point for that. Trevisan beat her...

Thanks for all your work!

Also, loving Mensik...

I will be flying all day long, so I will load the sheets tomorrow.

We are having a low scoring contest, and by now lots of people are with just a few picks left. Cyborgsnhoes, JazzyG and Federex are in the lead, and have about the same number of picks left. It will be a close race till the end.

But I did today ;)

The updated list is:

by jazzyg Looks like there are four people who can still win--me, cyborg, kthothem and vexchaps, who needs the long shot combo of Djokovic losing to Sinner AND Sinner losing in the final to have a shot.

by ponchi101 But you are in a really good position.

by jazzyg I'd like to think so, but if Noskova beats Yastremska (I assume Noskova is favored), and Alcaraz beats Zverev (I know Alcaraz is favored), I will be eliminated.

by ponchi101 Jazzyg has taken the lead, as Noskova indeed lost to Yastremska. And that picks look solid now.

by ponchi101 With the semis over, JazzyG has secured the YCWJ spoon.
All players holding a player for the weekend have Q. Zheng, but Jazzyg has her as the #1 pick. So, no way anybody can overtake that lead.

Because I am currently offshore, and I am not sure if I will be able to connect over the weekend, I will award Jazzyg's medal after I post this.

Congrats, JazzyG. This is your 2nd YCWJ spoon.

by ponchi101 Sorry for the delay, I am back at work, floating in the South Atlantic.
As stated above, JazzyG won the Wooden Spoon. She collected a big bonus by correctly predicting the wooden spoon, picking Cristian in the WTA. The sequence for that loser was:
Cristian-Siniakova-Golubic-Svitolina-Noskova-Yastremska-Q. Zheng-Sabalenka

Nobody picked the wooden spoon on the ATP side, who was Marcos Giron:
Giron-Draper-Paul-Kekmanovic-Alcaraz-Zverev-Medvedev-Sinner

JazzyG's final winning score was a juicy 74. leaving 2nd place behind by almost 20 points.
Congrats again. Sorry for the delays, but I have been rather busy lately. See you all at RG!!! :)
