I'm not surprised that Tsitsipas lost, just that it was Fritz who beat him.

Fritz's goal is now to win more games than Mannarino. :gorgeous:

Rublev has reached 9 (!!!) GS QF's and lost them all. That must be some kind of record. Sinner will be in his 6th, also only won once so far but I do like his chances this time.

And in those 9 matches Rublev has only won 3 sets - 2 of them against Cilic at the French Open two years ago when Cilic won in a fifth set tie-break.

Rublev vs Sinner is now set. I certainly favor Jannik in this one. H2H is 4-2 with Sinner winning both matches last year.

You might be right about that. That's a lot of QF losses without ever getting to a semi, I'm afraid it's probably going to be 0-10. I don't see Rublev winning this match against Sinner.

I will say it forever. He is a great striker of the ball, because he hits every single shot the same.
You have seen one Rublev point, you have seen them all. And at this level, that is lethal.

Interestingly that Rublev has more QF appearances than Medvedev (8 before AO started).
But out of his 8 QFs Medvedev went to the semis 7 times...
3 times out of those 7 it was at the expense of AR

Rublev was having amazing dialogues with himself in the parts of the match I saw. He's getting better than Murray at that.
