by martini4me The result of that set was essentially a coin flip. In both the 6-5 game and the tie-break, both players were alternating screaming winners and howling errors. It was almost random who won the last point.

Not sure when it happened, but basically her back was giving her a problem, and she couldn't continue.

by jazzyg No one should ever be surprised when Azarenka loses a set or a match.

Since I like Ostapenko despite her issues, it's a shame Azarenka gets up for her every time they play and served incredibly well in their third-round match. The real Azarenka returned tonight, like when she was up 3-1 in the second set and asked her box to tell her effing something to help as she was early in the process of losing five games in a row. She gets tight and frustrated at the slightest issue and basically falls apart even if she keeps trying.

by jazzyg If Zheng plays at the top of her ability, she'll be there, but she's going to have to play at that level to get by Kalinskaya, who hit the ball incredibly well against Stephens and appears to have maintained that level in the next round. I have been super impressed.

Helped that I didn't really have any SP or big predictions things I wanted to keep an eye on.
