I doubt she will with that draw. might have with a different draw given her current form.

Kerber vs Martic - both are very similar players, really, lots of subtlety, no power.. neither will go far anyway, at this venue

If the post with the PENN ball is for real (meaning the picture), and that was only after a few minutes of warming up, that will be impossible to play with.

well, this isnt a major but it is the most major of the non-majors.. so
Probabilities (to win the whole thing)
Men:
Djokovic 50%
Zverev 25%
Alcaraz 15% - hasnt been playing well in the first few months of the year
Sinner 5 %
Rest (including Nadal) 5%

Women:
Swiatek, Sabalenka and Rybakina 30% each
The field 10% (including QZ, Coco, Mirra Andreeva, Samsonova)
If any rank outsider, I would bet on Mirra Andreeva, did very well in Australia even where conditions were not very favorable, she can do better here, and young people improve with every match...

I don't see any upsets either.
But I don't see Novak at 50%. Nor Sinner at 5%. I give Novak a 30% (he has not played in a while) and Sinner likes a hard court. 30% too.

I can see the merit of what you are saying .
It is just that I see Sinner as being better on fast courts ..I had fully expected him to win the AO..if he can win this too, he would be in the class of Djokovic, which I don't think he is, yet

Great wins for oldies Murray and Kerber...I don't expect Kerber to get past Ostapenko though.
