This Collins vs E Andreeva match has been very entertaining. I hope they finish before the rain.

Lines have been dried and Andreeva is serving to stay in it with Collins up 6-5.

Giorgi's matches seem to hinge on her moods. The "you're not going to beat me" version showed up today. Also Boulter won San Diego and I don't think she's used to the short turnaround.

Giorgi is simply a better player than Boulter, on slow courts .she is sooo powerful.

Andreeva out in straight sets in the first round to Katie Volynets
Andreeva is starting to taper. Zoomed up very quickly with some good wins, but now she is slowing down a bit.
Mind you, I say she will become top 10, but it will take a bit longer.

And Boulter out. This parity thing in the WTA is too deep. You win one good tournament one week, out in the first round the next.

Parity?! She was beaten by a better player, who would always beat her on a slow court...I don't see where the parity is.

Where is the parity? Jessica Pegula loses to Martha Kostyuk, who loses to Kathy Boulter, who loses to Camila Giorgi. In the span of four matches.
And since when is Camila Giorgi such a great player? Can she belt the ball? Sure. Can she keep it within the lines? Seldom.

Opponents are starting to get used to her playing style. Every time I've seen her play her shot selection has been pretty bad, so once she gets that figured out she'll be a force again.
