I expect Venus Williams to lose. She has won a relatively low percentage of matches over the last year or so, and is playing a fairly good nonseeded player in Shnaider.
I would want to see Halep play a match, so that I would know if she is ready to be back on tour, before picking her.

It was 20% of matches Venus won in last year even before today. Hate to say but picking against her has become a rock solid strategy.
