I saw y'alls exchange in the other thread.
I think he cared very much about winning the match vs Tien, a 19 year old relatively untested at the elite levels of tennis. He didn't give up he lost.

Total fine was $76,000--$10,000 for the camera incident, and $66,000 for antics during his match with Tien.

Tien is a lot better than people realize.
Medvedev is in a funk, but that was not nearly as bad a loss as the rankings indicate.

Don't agree. Tsitsipas, for example, made two slam finals. A lot was expected from him. Sakkari was the same, although she never made a final. I think the washed up tag comes to everybody, whatever you achieved.
