Feedback wanted: I built a site that helps tennis fans find hotels near ATP tournaments

Hello hello! I've recently launched a website designed to help tennis fans like us find the best hotels near ATP tournaments worldwide. The site is called MyTennisTrip and you can find it here: https://mytennistrip.com

I originally built it for myself, since I really enjoy watching live tennis and try to get in one or two trips a year only for this purpose (anyone going to Paris Masters this year?).

Right now, the functionality is quite basic: You can choose from all ATP level tournaments and get a list of the hotels that are close to the arena. The dates are preset for the tournament, so you can get real time pricing and availability.

The plan is to gather some feedback from real users, and maybe build it out with WTA, Challenger events and even ITF in the future, if anyone is interested in those.

I would love to hear what else I can do to improve the site. Please check it out and let me know what you think :)

Thanks!
Tom

Hello Tom.
The rules of our forum are that new members cannot post links in their first 5 posts; as a webmaster yourself, you are aware that hacking is an issue and links are a preferred method.
Having said that.
I checked your site and it seems legit. It does not seem malicious, so the link will stay. I will make an exception this time.
Please read our rules and regulations, and we are glad you have joined. Your site seems very helpful, and I hope you will see some traffic stemming from us.

Thanks! I understand, I would be happy to post it without the link also. Just looking for feedback from some real tennis fans :)

I think it's a cool informational site, but I guess I would wonder if it's necessary as one can just plug the address of the venue into google maps or another site and look for hotels near it. I think it would be more useful (and a ton more work for you, of course), if the hotels were curated in some way - for example grouped by price/star level, or something like which hotels are player/tournament staff hotels, maybe an ability for reviews by tennis fans to be added or any special touches at those hotels. I also noticed you don't pull in any review ratings and I think that's quite valuable when choosing a place to stay.

I think also if you extend it might be appealing to do other sports (and WTA) rather than lower-level tournament, as I don't know how many fans are looking to travel far distances to unfamiliar areas for challengers/ITFs.

I do love the little tennis ball with the distance to site :)
