That is the reason I say he might be washed. A one hander is very hard on your back. And his injury is precisely that kind. So, unless he can take care of that injury, that BH liability you talk about will not go away.

Yes, I think so, unless he makes some big changes in his life, starting with dumping his dad as coach and laying off the social media. Then he can work on his backhand.

I think he's going to be the best American male player we've had since Andy Roddick.

Evans and Khachanov just played the longest match in USO history.
A truly gutsy performance by Evans. Down 0-4 in the 5th, he won 6 games in a row.

Let's not "Gasquet" him. He's not that tall at 1.8m (5'9") and he's still babyfaced.
That said you're echoing what a lot of people are saying. That's why I watched the match. :)

Meanwhile Leylah-Annie just lost a match she could've won against Potapova. She just faded at the end.

Leylah had SO many break points in that third set. She just tends to get passive in winning positions- while, at times, wildly over-playing shots.

Just one time I would like her to step back on 2nd serve so that the server has to think about where to hit the serve.

I am thinking Fernandez has a zero percent chance to win the tournament now.

Which is exactly the same chance she had before she lost today.

She will always have that RU plate.
We said it a long time ago. She does not have the physical power. She is a 4 cylinder engine in a land of V8's.

Last night two ESPN channels but not worthy of two stations (see my comments on the Sloane match).

Tonight only one channel and they are sticking with the Alcaraz thumping when Andreescu/paolini match could be on.

(Yes I could buy ESPN+ I am aware but I don't have it so I would rather whine)

The Alcaraz thumping has... turned around. A very high class 2nd set.

He won't win. But Tu has a lovely BH slice. It bites that court and stays very low.
Carlitos workout just became a bit more aerobic.
