Now the final in Miami is delayed because of rain. I've looked - only Madrid and Shanghai have courts with roofs out of all AP1000 events. Given that an attempt to move an event from Madrid looks like utter stupidity. IMO for events with such a caliber at least one court with a roof is a must-have. Make Halle ATP1000!

Halle should be a 1000 simply because there should be a MS1000 on grass.
The rest. What you say.

OK, and I’m not trying to defend them exactly, but each of them were influencers before they started the whole tennis gf thing. Paige Lorenze was famous for her ex Armie Hammer trying to eat her or whatever and had a successful clothing line before she ever met Tommy Paul.

These women are influencers before they met the tennis bfs- it is actually their profession before and after their dating situation. Obviously they’re leveraging it to their advantage but I think it’s an important distinction to make that she was getting brand deals before the tennis stuff too.

I would exclude Ayan from this conversation because she’s more than just a WAG. She actually plays tennis (former NCAA champ) and has done a lot to grow the sport from the very beginning. As much as I like Morgan, she’s an influencer who made tennis her brand when she started dating Taylor. Same with Paige. Ayan was always a tennis player first and influencer second

Well yeah, because in the minds of marketing companies it's easier to sell people on the pretty blonde woman instead of your average female tennis player that might not be considered as conventionally attractive. Pretty Privilege has always been a thing.

Oh, yeah. Newsflash:
Being beautiful is awesome.

And Sharapova, Kournikova, Ivanovic and Wozniacki deserved ALL those sponsors solely because of their tennis.

"Being beautiful is awesome."

It's allowed me to skate effortlessly through life.

(it is weird what you get for being classically pretty, male or female.)

Let's not forget:
For being tall, or REALLY, REALLY TALL (Hello NBA).
Being strong.
Being fast (hello, olympic gold).

Having said that. It is funny that four of the five richest men in the world are all geeks. Awkward geeks, that knew how to code.
(I am not counting the real richest man on earth, who simply knows how to be ruthless).

This has gone under our radar:
Ukraine's Lesia Tsurenko sues WTA for 'emotional distress'

I am undecided about this.

Sara Sorribes Tormo is taking an extended break from tennis as she has lost her desire to compete.

Which for a player with nothing more than grit, is kind of important.
