2025 RG YCWJ || Scores and lounge
Hello.
We start this version with 17 players. I have posted our usual sheet at this link:
https://www.talkabouttennis2.com/contests/YCWJ.htm
Please check your tab and let me know if your picks are correct.
One member posted one pick twice, so s/he starts with 18 points.
Let's hope we all lose. And lose, and lose and lose...

Re: 2025 RG YCWJ || Scores and lounge
We truly are a sorry bunch.
NO perfect scores this RG. The most a player was able to hit was 6 losers. Several of us stank the place to high heaven, with some truly pathetic efforts at identifying who would not win one match.
And yet, we have like 20 people left in the women's SP.
Man, are we odd.
The link for the full list of us is above and it has been updated. Let me know any and all mistakes I have made.
(And the entire rant above is just to keep in touch with the general theme of this contest. Because it keeps getting harder and harder.)

On the other hand, for me to have 5 left after round one is well above my average. Don’t worry…i’ll crash soon. GH

Well, I managed to give the same pick twice in my ATP list. Never done that before... I believe I was meaning to put Wawrinka in the list, instead of having Rocha twice, but too late now.
I guess this is a slight improvement over AO2025, where I did all my picks and then realized the tournament had already started.

Re: 2025 RG YCWJ || Scores and lounge
I like my chances no matter where I am in the standings after the second round thank to Ethan Quinn toughing out a five-setter against Shevhchenko.
As much as you can be confident you've found the right spot in the draw for the golden spoon (reality check: you can't), I thought I had identified it on the ATP side and picked the guys playing that first-round match 1-2, something I've never done before. But then Dimitrov retired against Quinn, making the second round a total toss-up. Quinn came through, though, and almost certainly will lose to Griekspoor in the next round. Then Griekspoor should lose to either Zverev or Cobolli in the fourth round, and the winner there should lose to Djokovic, who should lose to Sinner, who should lose to Alcaraz.
I've got this.

With R2 over, we have a new leader.
GlennHarmann has taken the top spot and, not only that, has 5 players left, more than anybody else. He looks good to get some ancient kitchenware in the next few days.
Link for updated picks is still working.
Let me know if you spot any errors in my calculations.

R3, and a new leader again.
Shmrck14 has taken the lead by two points, and has two picks left. GlennHarman is in second, with two picks too.
Many players already burned out all their picks.

R4 finished, and shmrck14 kept the lead. No one has more than one pick, and there are multiple options open for a few possible wooden spoons.

I see there are at least 4 of us with the same player as our only pick left.

I believe five people can still win this.
Shmrck14 and JeffFrTexas have more than one way.
Tolulops needs O'Connell to get the wooden spoon
Patrick needs Kessler to get the wooden spoon
I need Lajovic to get the wooden spoon

Look like I need the wildcard winner in Boisson to pull off another miracle to stay alive

Still to be decided. Probably by the bonus (the Kessler pick looks pretty good).
