Ruud going out this early on his favorite surface is a big surprise to me. He'll be no higher than #13 in two weeks.

The score seems to say there was something physical wrong with him. Any ideas?
And, as said before, Madrid remains an outlier when predicting RG. And that is not good for Madrid.

Glad that Iga seemingly finding her game. It will be something if after all those woes she'll turn it around and win the whole thing.

Looks like he has a problem with a knee.

We are one win away from each from the dream matchup of Swiatek and Ostapenko in the fourth round.

Swiatek has lost nine games through four sets and has won Roland Garros four of the last five times she played it.

Ostapenko has lost the first set of each of two matches here--rallying to beat Kudermetova's younger sister and Dolehide--and is past the second round for the first time since 2020.

But Ostapenko, of course, is 6-0 vs. Swiatek.

I don't really expect her to beat Rybakina in the third round because she struggles to handle big first serves, but if she does, match No. 7 vs. Swiatek will be appointment viewing.

Iga at RG will be different for Alona.
But indeed, I don't see her beating Rybakina. Nor Elena beating Iga.

Greek tennis has spiraled downwards for a while now with Tsitsipas losing in 4 and Sakkari continues her struggles

A brief mirage in the history of the sport. When it seemed that Greece could start producing slam winners.
Tsitsipas has had a good career. Sakkari a bit less, but still respectable.

Sakkari's ranking is set to go up after this tournament as we've now come around to where she has nothing to defend.

Swiatek played well in patches but is not really back yet...Rybakina has a 50% chance of beating her, the only reason it is not higher is R herself is not yet at her best ...Swiatek is still hitting many balls too short and missing them long when she goes for depth..
