Swiatek changes tactics and comes back from 3-5 down to take the first set 7-5. Rybakina seemed genuinely confused about what to do.

Something Swiantek uses better than most, changing tactics. Now she's running away with it.

My love for her stops me from saying that that is basically her motto. It should be her coat of arms.
"Genuinely confused about what to do".
Yes. It fits.

Swiatek had a throw-away comment after the match - the court is a bit slower than last year.

I dont think Paolini has any chance at all, Sinner-Alcaraz would be 60-40 by my reckoning.

Now I have a feeling that Sinner will crumble under the weight of the massive jinx from all involved parties...

Because of the time of day, I give Alcaraz the edge. I think he will be able to handle the heat better.
As Ashkor says, Iga in a walk in the park. And will be the heavy favorite for the USO.

Do not agree with Swiatek being the heavy favorite. For some reason, Sabalenka will revert to Slam playing Sabalenka. With this being a Slam that is not on grass and won this two years ago, Gauff will find a way to reduce DFs to a manageable number (under 10).

I hope you will be right. But I expect to see "8 DF's per set" Coco and "20 UE's per set" Aryna coming into NYC. Did not see either one of those two doing anything different at Cincy.
Iga, on the other hand, has recovered her aggressiveness and penchant for bullying people once they go down a break.
