Wolfy had the high score of the week and has closed on the top two, who also got a little bit closer when Tog got two more points than Omegadoom. Those three are gearing up for a nice finish:

I noticed that I did not post the scores for week 15. My bad, and my apologies. I am in Caracas and well, been busy.
These are the updated scores for week 16:
nfl.jpg
Omegadoom and Tog are now both tied for the lead. But we had a stellar week from NE Nitemare, who scored a high 118, and with these two new weeks of teams that have nothing to lose, and teams that have nothing to gain, he is now only 28 points from the lead.
Wolfy remains in a good 3rd place.

I have updated the spreadsheets:

A bit of lower scores because the Rams have decided in the last few weeks that they really don't want to contend for the superbowl.

Omega remains at the top.
As I said in the week 18 topic, we always know that this week is usually impossible to predict.

A good week of high scores, and we finished the regular season with Omegadoom being the season's champ. We don't give awards for that, but heck of a run.
I consider that 3 players are in the run for the championship, as Wolfie had the score of the week and is within striking distance of first place:

I will post the WC round picks soon.

With negative points for wrong games ... I'd say at least 6 of us are still in it for sure... 64 points not too hard to make up IF we get the right upset :) (or avoid it with our high point picks.)

The others still have a chance too if they get a couple upsets but will be a long way to come.

I'll grant you five. I am in sixth and I have that 64 points gap. And neither Omega nor Wolfie are bad enough to lose that kind of lead. ;)

64 points is barely one 30 point upset swinging both ways (oh well a little more if loss is only 0.5 but you get the idea). This year's playoffs should be pretty unpredictable so definitely not out of the question.

The biggest favorite this week is the Rams playing a team they've already lost to!

To me, the biggest question is: how soft was the Patriots schedule, really?
14 wins, but 4 came from Miami and the Jets. A quick search gives it to you: the collective record was .383, 66-106 (their opponents).
I give the chargers a really good chance. And may actually pick them.

They definitely had an easier schedule, but at the same time, they still won most of their games. New Orleans had the second easiest schedule and went 6-11. The Broncos also had one of the 8 easiest schedules (playing the Raiders twice is a yearly gift) and no one is using that as an argument against them. I don't mentally penalize teams too much for strength of schedule... you can only beat who you play.

Not to say the Chargers can't win this. They are a very tough team to figure out this year (even harder than other teams.) Herbert at times looks MVP-ish. I would not be shocked at all if they win.

No one is using that against the Broncos. But they are also not being taken as a top team.
But between the Broncos and the Patriots, I say the Pats have a smaller chance of making the conference finals.
I am riding the Texans; if Stroud can give them only one TD per game, and keep the turnovers at zero, the defense can do the job.

There definitely are lots of people taking the Broncos. I have them (losing) in Super Bowl in my bracket :) I am a strong believer in Houston too, I have Denver-Houston AFC final.

On NFL Super Bowl Challenge right now NE is #2 super bowl winner pick from AFC, and Denver #3

Sixth seeded Buffalo is the top of AFC teams and second only to Seattle :) Currently Chargers are the second lowest team picked to win Super Bowl.

It's my first year having discovered that TAT hosts this competition; I therefore had no idea that it extends into the postseason. Luckily, I happened to look a couple days ago to see who'd won and add my congratulatory message to the winner, only to discover there were more weeks of picks to make. It made my day! :D

Not only because it means four more weeks of picks, but also because it gives me a chance to finish in something other than last place

I agree that there are 6 of you still realistically competing for the championship. As for me, it's only slightly less fun competing to avoid last place. (I'm glad this isn't a contest akin to the many fantasy football leagues where the last-place finisher has to endure a "punishment" of some sort, given the current standings. Phew!)
