Is Rublev losing this early a surprise? Also Sinner and Alcaraz seem healthier than I assumed. If so I'm very much looking foward to SF's between them.

A slight surprise. He had been playing well on clay, but, as we have said before, the Madrid winner seldom does well here.
And whatever was ailing Carlitos and Sinner seems to be gone. The day off does wonders.

Not sure about Alcaraz's arm, but Sinner's hip is very much still bothering him, but doesn't seem to be limiting his movement so far.

Rublev lost in the 3rd round last year so not a surprise.

If Alcaraz is healthy (a definite question), I don't see anyone beating him.

Who is better on clay? Carlitos or Jannik? I say Carlitos moves better, but they are better on hard courts than on this surface.
But since I can't watch any matches, I will take your word.
