Something bad is happening with Mensik. Losing from 2 sets up. Did he pick up the injury? Hard to believe that Henrique Rocha is suddenly channeling Bublik. Also Mensik supposed to be an attacking player as opposed to ADM, who is reactive and can be at the mercy of a redlining opponent.

No idea what happened with Mensik, but Fils appears to be headed in the same direction. Even faster

probably unused to the rigors of a 5 set match... they are both too young

I'm not saying you're wrong, but (as the lone SP Fils picker) I'm very happy he managed to turn it around ;) Didn't get to watch it, so I wonder if he pulled a Kyrgios and just tanked the 4th :?:

This Kenin/Azarenka match has one 9 hit rally. The rest has been crap.

That was an entertaining match between Djokovic and Moutet.

Meanwhile, I am still flabbergasted by the Fonseca hype. Mark Petchey gushed about him exceeding all expectations of greatness as they showed the highlight of match point in his 7-6,7-6, 6-4 win over 147th-ranked 34-year old doubles specialist Herbert. Again, my beef is not about his potential. It's about his present. He's headed for a likely three-set loss to Draper on Saturday.

It came as a surprise to me that Fonseca is from the very wealthy family (similar to Pegula/Navarro). For some reason this info was not touted the way it was for these two.

Kenin's specialty is making the game seem like tortuous work.

Alycia Parks back to her usual form today and now either Lois Boisson or Elsa Jacquemot is going to reach the 2nd week of a grand slam.

She is Alycia Parks, indeed. Can hit a winner from any position, but very likely will hit an unforced error.

And then probably yell about how it's someone else's fault. (I've seen her play doubles a lot, and someone is always doing something wrong, usually her partner)
